Westfield Miranda

Red 8 Roofing completed roofing and facade works as part of the $475 million Westfield Miranda redevelopment – the centre’s first major expansion in over two decades. A signature feature of the scope was the design and installation of a striking new facade above the Kingsway elevation, comprising over 100 individually fabricated 3mm thick aluminium perforated powder-coated sheets engineered to create a wave effect resembling fish scales – a deliberate design reference to the Sutherland Shire’s coastal culture. The precision fabrication and fixing of each individual sheet required a high level of detail and coordination across a live retail environment.
