Green Square Library

Red 8 Roofing delivered roofing and cladding works for the Green Square Library and Plaza – a $47 million civic project for the City of Sydney built by John Holland. The innovative design locates the library underground, with roofing works forming part of the 8, 000m2 plaza structure above. A key feature was the installation of 49 circular skylights punching through the plaza surface to bring natural light into the subterranean library below. The project opened in September 2018 and won the Architectural Review Library Award 2018.
