Central Station Metro Upgrade

Red 8 Roofing assisted Laing O’Rourke with the design and landmark roof refurbishment of Sydney’s Central Station. Scope included manufacture, fabrication, supply and installation of all roofing. Key features included a build-up system designed by State Rail, diamond-shaped skylights, and a canopy design of curved sheets designed to complement the heritage character of the station. Works were carried out on a live operational rail environment requiring careful coordination with rail operations.
